The Power of the Truth – from a Krishna priest

I had a remarkable experience today meeting with Shivatsa Goswami- a Krishna priest. He spoke about the need to cherish the earth, to value relationships, and to use the truth as a guiding principle. This last point struck a little too close too home. I’ve received a lot of feedback lately about how my defensiveness and avoidance keep me from being genuine and truthful. I tend to isolate myself or intellectualize and end up missing out on the possibility of a real relationship. Listening to this inspiring priest share his wisdom, I suddenly realized that it was my heart that I needed to share with others, that I needed to honor and manifest the divinity within me. I feel enormously grateful for the clarity and truth that comes from the powerful experiences of pilgrimage.
